From the end of September, some major work has been carried out on the course here at Caldy.
In a bid to improve the experience of all members, guests and visitors to Caldy, extensive work has been carried out on the Putting Green, 18th ,13th,and 9th greens, as well as adding some “target greens” to the practice ground and the formation of a new chipping green by the new putting green. The vast majority of this work is now complete and members are looking forward to the spring, when all of these new surfaces should be playable. We cross our fingers for a friendly winter!
On behalf of the members, thanks go to Carl and all of the greens team who have worked tirelessly, alongside Connor J Walsh Golf, to ensure that this project has gone smoothly and efficiently. Many of the areas of improvement are already looking fantastic and are starting to look as though they could be ready for play. The Club ask politely though, please do not be tempted to use the putting green or chipping green before they are officially opened.
It is hoped that all members will make good use of the new facility, once it is opened, and that it can provide a platform for golfing improvement and enjoyment for all.
