Todays 18 hole senior competition was won by Bryn Jones with a score of 44pts followed by runner up Peter Humphrey on 40pts. The 11 hole competition was won by Paul Ward 23pts on a count back over runner up Neil Jackson 23pts.
The seniors competition season is rapidly coming to a close with the Averages Stableford and the Eclectic Competitions very much up for grabs with a number of players in contention.
There have been some fantastic scores with John Chapman (45pts), Allan Bickerstaffe (44pts), Ian Finlayson (44pts), Denis Blamey (44pts), Peter Humphrey (43pts) being the best in the 18 hole and Dave Crinson (31pts) and Bryn Jones (31pts) the best in the 11 hole competitions.
The good weather has helped competitors in the Bridge Cup to play within the scheduled dates with Messrs Nixon and Bickerstaffe up against it with six higher in form handicappers in the mix.
The monthly lunches, with a variety of menus, have been well attended.
The 6th Annual Away Day will be played at Prestatyn Golf Club on Monday 24th June a couple of weeks before they host the Welsh Amateur Open so it is expected that the course will be in pristine condition – over 50 seniors are expected to attend this popular event.
The Annual Meeting takes place on Monday 1st April (2pm) at which members will have the opportunity to express their views.
Club matches commence in April and members are requested to keep an eye on the notice board for team information.
